Terry K. Minton - Chairman, CEO
Terry K. Minton has more than 25 years of senior executive experience in both large organizations and entrepreneurial enterprises. His passion for people, leadership and business has served him well in leading healthcare enterprises, a biotechnology company and new technology initiatives, including B2B and B2C product companies. From leading the visioning process to operational execution, Minton has exhibited effective leadership of complex organizations. He joins ideas, concepts and diverse business interests with human and financial resources for success.
Minton recently founded VuPal LLC, focused on leveraging proprietary video technology for personalized online instruction. Before VuPal, he was the CEO of Mintech, a company he founded in 2006 to focus on the development of early life science technologies and companies. As CEO of Sensei and Managing Director for Strategic Initiatives for Humana’s Innovation Center, Minton led the strategic partnership between the $13 billion health care company and a $100 million Swiss-based technology company. In a span of five months he led the concept development, wrote the business plan, secured funding, led the internal and external legal teams and negotiated the final terms of the transaction. Minton also oversaw the development of Humana’s Intellectual Property guidance document.
Before that, Minton served as CEO of Aptamera, Inc., a drug discovery and development company. After co-founding the company in 2001, he led Aptamera’s development from concept to initiation of Phase I clinical trials for its lead drug in only 24 months. In January 2005, Aptamera was sold to London-based Antisoma in a deal valued at $34 million. His experience includes serving as chief operating officer, chairman of a start-up healthcare services company, corporate director of operations of a 5,000-employee subsidiary of Continental Medical Systems, and as vice president of mergers and acquisitions for ZirMed.com. Minton earned his doctorate from Golden Gate Seminary with a focus in management and leadership development.
